Abwärts auf der spektakulärsten Strecke Deutschlands!

-2,5km lang, bis zu 7,8% Gefälle, drei 180° Kurven dazwischen Highspeed-Geraden.

-Chillout-Area für Rider und Piloten im Startbereich, div. Cateringbereiche und Expo-Areas im Zielbereich. Die Downhill-Challenge 07 ist eine Herausforderung für Inliner, Boarder, Luger, Dirtsurfer, Bobby-Car- und Seifenkistenpiloten.

Im Inlinesport hat Albstadt Weltcuperfahrung und eine solide Fanbase. Bereits 2005 und 2006 machte der Weltcupzirkus Station auf der Schwäbischen Alb und das Publikum weis seine Helden zu feiern. Zu Tausenden säumen sie die Strecke, kennen die spektakulären Passagen und honorieren die sportlichen Höchstleistungen des internationalen Athletenfeldes oder feiern sich selbst – mit Klappstuhl und Campingtisch.

Top-Ereignis der Downhill-Challenge 07 sind die FIRS Weltmeisterschaften der Männer und Frauen im Inline-Downhill. Mit dem Einmarsch der Nationen und dem anschließenden Eröffnungsfeier (Freitag, 06.07.07) erfolgt im Zentrum der schwäbischen Metropole der Startschuss für die Wettkämpfe und Läufe.

Als Crossmeisterschaft, d.h. immer 4 Rider gleichzeitig, werden die Disziplinen der Boarder, Dirtsurfer und Luger ausgetragen. Zwischen deren jeweiligen k.o.-Wertungsläufen starten die Bobby-Car- und Seifenkisten-Piloten zu jeweils 2 Wertungsläufen.

Mehr als 250 nationale und internationale Athleten werden an 2 Wettkampf- und Trainingstagen über 1.000 Einzelstarts absolvieren. Go down!

Für Aussteller und Sponsoren bietet die Downhill-Challenge 07 eine Expo-Area mit Fokus auf die internationalen Topathleten und auf das Fachpublikum. Aber auch die unzähligen Freaks, Familien oder Ausflügler nutzen die Angebote und schätzen dabei das Flair der skurrilen, spektakulär andersartigen Inliner- und Boarderszene.

“Down the hill” on Germany’s most spectacular race track!

several high-speed straights

Chill outarea for riders and pilots in the start zone, several catering- and expo-areas in the finish zone. The Downhill-Challenge 07 is a real challenge for inliners, boarders, lugers, dirt surfers, bobby-cars and soap-box derby-racers.

Albstadt is coming up with world cup experience as well as a solid fan community with respect to inline sports. In 2005 and 2006, the world cup family yet performed on the Schwäbische Alb and the spectators knew how to celebrate their heroes. Thousands of people gather along the track, know the spectacular sections and duly honour the peak performances of the international athletes or simply celebrate themselves – with folding chair and camping table.

Top event of the Downhill Challenge 07 are the FIRS World Inline Downhill Championships (men/women). On Friday, 6th July 2007, the starting signal for the competition runs will be given in the centre of the metropolis with the coming in of the nations and the following opening ceremony.

The competitions of the boarders, dirt surfers and lugers will be carried out as cross runs, i.e. 4 riders will start simultaneously in one run. Between their k.o.-runs, the bobby-car and soap-box derby-racers will do their two valuation runs.

On two training- and competition days, more than 250 national and international athletes will complete more than 1.000 departures. Go down!

Last but not least, the Downhill-Challenge 2007 offers for both exhibitors and sponsors an expo-area with focus on the international top-athletes and the expert public. But also innumerable freaks, families and excursionists make use of their offers and highly appreciate the air of the bizarre, spectacular and simply different inline- and boarder-scene.

21th June 2007	PARTY - Ridersnight with John Doe! On Saturday 7th of July 2007 the band John Doe will act Downtown in Albstadt-Ebingen (Kurt-Georg-Kiesinger-Platz). The Show will start at 7 p.m. Am Samstag, 07.07.07 tritt die Band John Doe in der Innenstadt von Albstadt-Ebingen (Kurt-Georg-Kiesinger-Platz) auf. Beginn ist 19:00 Uhr.
15th June 2007	Pro7 Galileo wird bei der Downhill-Challenge drehen! Ein Kamerateam des Münchener Fernsehsenders Pro7 Galileo wird die Downhill-Challenge 2007 in Albstadt verfolgen, um eine umfassende Reportage über das Wettkampfgeschehen der Challenge einzufangen und zu berichten. Der vorrausichtliche Sendetermin ist der 13. Juli 07!
29th May 2007	Delegations-Hostessen gesucht! Für die Eröffnungsfeier am 06.07.07 werden „Delegations-Hostessen“ gesucht! Sie werden beim Einmarsch der Nationen die Landesschilder tragen. Gesucht sind 15-20 junge Damen, welche mind. 16 Jahre alt und mind. 1,65m groß sind. Alle Damen haben während des kompletten Events freien Zugang zur Athleten-Lounge im Startbereich und max. 6 Hostessen werden an der offiziellen Siegerehrung, welche am Samstag, 07.07.07 ebenfalls wieder auf dem Kurt-Georg-Kiesinger-Platz stattfindet, teilnehmen.
